Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
Reiki is a type of alternative healing therapy. It was developed by Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist, in 1922. The word can be broken down into two meanings. “Rei” means God’s wisdom or higher power. “Ki” is the life force energy. When combined, Reiki is the spiritually guided life force energy.
Its use is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds.
We will start with a short introduction about the process. We will discuss your expectations and set an intention for your session. You will then lie down on a massage table where you will be covered with a blanket.
A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. I will place my hands either directly on you or just above you to bring you healing. You may experience sensations in your body such as heat or tingling. You should feel a sense of relaxation and peace.
Experiences vary somewhat from person to person. Since the Reiki energy encourages you to let go of all tension, anxiety, fear or negative feelings, a state of peace and well-being is often experienced. As your practitioner channels the healing energy, you may experience warmth or tingling. In addition, you may drift off to sleep or report a feeling of floating or altered states of consciousness and spiritual experiences. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit.
At the end of the treatment, you may feel refreshed with a more positive, balanced outlook. You may feel a deep sense of relaxation or more balanced, centered and grounded. You may feel more connected to your life purpose or direction.
